Borini strike settles Tyne-Wear derby

The Italian, who joined the Black Cats on a season-long switch on the final day of the summer transfer window, was making his fourth league appearance for the club.

He started the game on the substitutes' bench as Steven Fletcher gave the home side the lead by heading in Adam Johnson's cross after five minutes of play.
However, Mathieu Debuchy hit back for Alan Pardew's Magpies just prior to the hour-mark when he turned home Hatem Ben Arfa's effort across goal.
Borini was introduced in the 69th minute, and with the game heading for a 1-1 draw, he collected a pass from Jozy Altidore and unleashed an unstoppable effort past Tim Krul to clinch all three points with five minutes left on the clock.
The ferocious 25-yard strike was his first goal of the season - and it handed Sunderland their first Barclays Premier League victory of the current campaign.
Afterwards, Borini told Sky Sports: "We gave it everything today, it was obviously a special game, but we need to show that every game is as special to us as this game. We won this game and hopefully we'll get a few wins now.
"If we play like we played today with a little bit more calm on the ball we can really improve our game."
